BIG RED CAT pulled up well after his first run back at the Sapphire Coast last Sunday. The horse raced well and trainer Colbey Hill admitted after the race that he was perhaps not as forward as she had thought as he pulled up big after the race and had a very good blow.
Jockey Shaun Guymer said he thought the horse was going to win coming to the turn but his condition gave out when he peeled off the back of Cheersforhollywood and he struggled thereafter.
He is an enormously good doing horse and those type of horses can get away on you and the plan is now to take him to Canberra in a fortnight and run him in a 1280m race on the Acton track.
RIVERS went around at Gulgong on Sunday at a non-TAB meeting, which I was unaware of (until after the race) and finished well down the track. Obviously i did not see the race, did not hear it and no one told me about it so I know "SFA" about the run.
