Get It Early Oaks Day
We have been having a bit of luck with last race specials like Woorim and Under The Eiffel winning on the first two days of the carnival - but today we are doing the reverse, as i think the best value bet all day at the Flemington meeting is ULUNDI in race 1. The horse's last run behind Foreteller and co was a complete forgive and this race today is an awful lot easier. With Darren Beadman up I expect him to be very hard to beat today.
At absurd odds do not be surprised if TASOS runs a good race in race 8. He is a very sharp short course sprinter and should not be 60/1.
Even though the Hawkesbury Cup today looks tailor made for Somepin Anypin - I am still going to have something on LEICA LARRIKIN. This race is far more suitable than last time out when he never got into the race on a mad leader's track at Rosehill. I expect him to improve a lot today.
I am also pretty keen on FIREBOLT in the last race on the card. Formerly trained by Roger James and now with Chris Waller, this is a high quality horse on his day and the race looks tailor made for him here.
